Jamie Cartwright banks 8lb 1oz chub and 33lb 8oz pike
Jamie Cartwright put the finishing touches to a golden month in his big-fish angling career this week when he banked a massive 8lb 1oz chub from the Great Ouse.
The Northampton rod smashed his personal best by more than 1lb after tempting the fish on a cheesepaste hook bait from a club-owned stretch of the river.
The capture comes just four weeks to the day after the 33-year-old banked a brace of 30lb-plus pike from Chew Valley lake in Somerset, and a fortnight after he took a memorable hit of specimen roach comprising four 'threes' to 3lb 13oz in a single session.
His stunning personal best chub and personal best pike were both captured on film which we are proud to air right here, on Gofishing.co.uk.
