Monster week for pike

Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire produced one of its biggest-ever pike in the shape of this 39lb fish... caught on a lure.
Watford rod Ben Booth had never caught a pike over 20lb before, so he and his father John were shocked when this monster broke the surface after it had snapped up a Savage Gear eel imitation.

A small Essex stillwater produced the goods for Nash-backed Carl Smith, who smashed his pike personal best by over 11lb with this 31lb fish. The fishing-mad Londoner, who stars with his Brother Alex in the popular Youtube channel Carl & Alex Fishing, caught the predator on a floatfished sprat in 7ft of water.
